Greenbelt Community Orchestra started rehearsing in July 2023, led by conductors Derek Maseloff and Seth Glabman.

Our mission is to provide an outlet for local musicians to play together and to share our love of music with the local community.  All orchestral instruments are welcome (until we reach capacity for each section). We aim to have a special focus on string players, who are currently under-served locally.

Concerts

Tuesday, May 21, 7:30pm, joint event with the Cinema including a viewing of The City. More information to follow!

Sunday, June 2, joint concert with the concert band for Greenbelt Day Weekend. The band will play at 3pm and the orchestra will play at 4pm - program to include a suite of Aaron Copland's music for The City.

Sign up here to receive email notifications about future concerts.

Please consider donating to the orchestra so that we can continue to perform free concerts in the community, and so that in future we can play a more diverse selection of music (it is expensive to pay for the rights and rent the parts for music that is not in the public domain, e.g. music by women and minorities).

Rehearsals
We rehearse on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in Greenbelt Community Center. If you would like to join us, please fill out the Interest Form to be added to our email list for communications.
