Donate to the orchestra
Greenbelt Community Orchestra is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for local musicians to play together and to share their music with the community. All our concerts are free and open to the public. We have various expenses, including renting or purchasing sheet music and securing the rights to perform music that is still under copyright (which includes much of the repertoire composed by women, minorities and Americans), paying a stipend to the conductors, acquiring and maintaining percussion instruments (which we share with the Greenbelt Concert Band), and printing costs. We rely on grants and donations from orchestra and audience members to cover these costs and to allow us to continue to deliver interesting and ambitious concerts

Thank you!
We are grateful for any support you can provide. We encourage you to consider a donation at one of the support levels listed below.
For $500, you will be recognized as a Symphony Patron of the Greenbelt Community Orchestra, our highest and most elite tier of recognized donors, for the 2026-27 performance year. Your name will be listed alongside other patrons on our website through June 2027 and in all of our concert programs during that time period. We typically print and distribute 250 programs during each performance, so this is a great way to reach many musicians and music enthusiasts throughout the Greenbelt area. We can also provide you with signage to place in your business, recognizing and advertising your support of the orchestra.
For $300, you will be recognized as a Concerto Patron, our second-highest tier of recognized donors, for the 2026-27 performance year. This group will also be listed on our website and in our programs for the year.
For $200, you can sponsor a piece in an upcoming concert. Online and printed programs for that performance will include a line stating that the performance of the piece is sponsored by your business. Actual rental or purchase prices for copyrighted music performed by the orchestra range from $50 to $600, with many pieces costing around $200. This is a very visible sign of support for the orchestra.
For $100, you will be recognized as a Scherzo Patron for the 2026-27 performance year. Like the Symphony and Concerto Patrons, Scherzo Patrons will be listed on our website and programs.
If you are interested in becoming a long-term supporter of the orchestra, please consider sponsoring our Assistant Conductor position. For $1,200 per year, we will list your business on our website and in our programs as sponsoring our Assistant Conductor. Our Assistant Conductor has been with the Greenbelt Community Orchestra since its founding in 2023. This is an essential position, critical to the success of the ensemble. Should the current Assistant Conductor ever choose to leave the ensemble, we will identify a comparably capable conductor to fill the sponsored position.
We hope you will consider a donation to the Greenbelt Community Orchestra.
